Friday 9th July.

The pre-prep production starts at 11am and this evening's concert is at 7pm. Speeches and prizegiving tomorrow is at 1030.

Thursday 8th July

Another busy day, with music practices for the concert, pre-prep dress rehearsal for their production, conclusion of various competitions and the Leavers' BBQ tonight.
In addition, there are U9 cricket and Rounders matches with Lyndhurst (Home) 2pm.

Wednesday 7th July

This morning there are cycling tests (9.30) and gum shield fittings for next year. This afternoon the 1st and 2nd XI cricket teams are playing St Olave's (1pm start). The girls matches have been cancelled.

Today, a small group of pupils has gone to London to visit the Houses of Parliament.

This afternoon is pre-prep Sports, which starts at 2pm. Good luck to Jake, Pippa and Annabelle who are in Birmingham today for the National Athletics Championships.

This afternoon is the Annual Fathers match against the boys and Mothers against the girls! 2pm start.
This evening is the Hog Roast, from 6.15pm.

This morning is the annual inter-house swimming gala at Derwent pool. This afternoon there are music rehearsals for Sunday's leavers' service.

Thursday July 1st

The middle school is visiting its garden project at Stocksbridge today. There is a Band practice this morning and this afternoon, 1st cricket and rounders teams are at Pocklington (2pm). CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL CAST AND CREW OF KING ARTHUR! IT WAS FANTASTIC.

The U11 and U9 cricketers are at Cundall Manor this afternoon whilst U10 and U8 Rounders teams play the same school at Terrington.
The second night of "King Arthur" takes place on thr front lawn tonight at 7pm. Last night was STUNNING so please come along for a great hour of entertainment!

Today is FIELD DAY when all members of the school go on a "field trip". Year 8, however, will be continuing to rehearse King Arthur for this evening's first performance.

Rehearsals for King Arthur continue on the front lawn. A group of pupils has gone to Wimbledon for the day. The Tennis match this afternoon has been cancelled as a result.
Year 4 is going to Barley Hall for a Tudor day!

Yr 8 pupils going to St Peter's are attending an induction morning today. U11 and U9 Rounders teams are away at Belmont Grosvenor this afternoon.

This morning is Yr 4's assembly. King Arthur rehearsals continue. Later today, the U11 cricketers take part in the Lyndhurst 6-a-side and the boys' tennis team is away at Pocklington.

TODAY IS ORIENTATION DAY.
King Arthur rehearsals continue for year 8 but all other Main School children (and Yr 2) will move "up" a year, enjoying the timetable and teachers they will have next academic year.

Some pupils are attending the St Peter's Physics Olympiad. Later today, the U10 girls are playing in a tournament at Harrogate (noon start) and the senior girls and boys' tennis teams have matches at St Olave's (4pm!).

Ardeche trip begins its first full day on the river. Further reports should follow. Good luck to the Athletes taking place in the national trials today in Leeds. Rehearsals for the Yr 8 open-air production continue. 5.15PM: PLEASE SEE SPORTS SECTION FOR REPORT ON THE ATHLETICS RESULTS TODAY.

The Yr 7 Ardeche trip landed safely at Nimes and are on their way to the campsite. Further details will follow.
UPDATE: 3.45pm. The intrepid Yr 7 have arrived at camp safely and it is sunny and warm. More will follow!
