Terrington Hall is situated in the village of Terrington which is in the Howardian Hills of North Yorkshire in an area designated as being of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The school is approximately eight miles from the market town of Malton (to the East) and a similar distance from Easingwold (to the West) and Helmsley (to the North).
The centre of the City of York is about 14 miles to the South.
York itself is about 2 hours away from London by train.

There is a Yr 8 Parents' evening from 6pm tonight.
U9 Hockey match v Lyndhurst (Away) this afternoon is OFF!
We have reluctantly withdrawn from this afternoon's cross country meeting due to difficulties getting there: the swimming match is also off, for similar reasons!
Local roads are now fairly clear of snow, as are roads within immediate vicinity of school but there are still some icy patches. Buses are running as normal.
