There is a home tennis match this evening (4pm) for U13 boys and girls teams.
All the children from Years 3 to 8 have a double lesson of art in the designated art room. They are taught by specialist art teachers and study a number of different techniques with particular emphasis on drawing, painting, ceramics, papier mache and batiking.
The work produced is displayed around the school for everyone to see. Towards the end of the school year there is an inter-house art competition which is adjudicated by an outsider. This gives the children the opportunity to pursue some of their own interests within the subject.
The younger children have their own art area within their department. Much of their work is project based relating to specific topics.
The department is available to the boarders to use in the evening.
