Terrington Hall School

Scholarships and Bursaries

SCHOLARSHIPS
When the late P G A Clementson retired in 1977 the Governors established a Scholarship Fund to commemorate his years as Headmaster. The 'Clementson Awards' can be up to the value of one half boarding fees for candidates of exceptional merit. They are based on a series of tests and interviews held in March each year. Further details may be obtained from the Headmaster.

SERVICE BURSARIES
Boarding children of serving members of the armed forces are entitled to a Bursary of 10% of full boarding fees.

CLEMENTSON MEMORIAL AWARD
A separate fund, dedicated to the memory of P G A Clementson provides for the award of a Bursary to a physically handicapped child who would benefit from being educated at Terrington Hall.

YOUNGER BROTHERS AND SISTERS
When two or more children from the same family are in the school at the same time the second child receives a discount of 10% of his/her basic fee, with a third child receiving a discount of 25% of his/her basic fee. These discounts will only apply until the elder sibling leaves the school.

OTHER AWARDS AND GRANTS
There are various charitable bodies which are prepared to help those in need who wish their children to be educated in Independent Schools.

NB: Normally, a child who qualifies for more than one scholarship, bursary or discount will only receive whichever is of the greatest value.

MEANS TESTED BURSARIES

In addition to the above scholarships, the school is prepared to offer bursaries based on the completion of a Means Test form, which is avaliable on application to the school office.

These bursaries can be to the value of the whole school boarding fee.

There is a Yr 8 Parents' evening from 6pm tonight.

U9 Hockey match v Lyndhurst (Away) this afternoon is OFF!

We have reluctantly withdrawn from this afternoon's cross country meeting due to difficulties getting there: the swimming match is also off, for similar reasons!

Local roads are now fairly clear of snow, as are roads within immediate vicinity of school but there are still some icy patches. Buses are running as normal.
