House Cross Country (17.01.12)
The annual House Cross County competition took place on what was a very cold afternoon this week. As always the competitive nature of the house system brought the best out of the children and it turned out to be the closest competition in years. All the children ran to the best of their ability and it just goes to show that every point counts! For the senior boys Tom Pycock came in first with Annabelle Blackburn for the girls. For the juniors Harry Welch came in first for the boys with Amelia Blackburn for the girls. The top three places were as follows:
U13 boys
1st - Tom Pycock (17.59)
2nd - Jordan Beeforth (20.55)
3rd - Charlie Tannahill (21.55)
U13 girls
1st - Annabelle Blackburn (20.25)
2nd - Scarlett Latham (20.38)
3rd - Angela Watson (21.21)
U11 boys
1st - Harry Welch (18.44)
2nd - George Black (19.56)
3rd - Charlie Blackburn (19.57)
U11 girls
1st - Amelia Blackburn (20.57)
2nd - Anna Barker (24.04)
3rd - Lily Browne (24.36)
The overall winners were Rhodes, with Drakes second and Clives third.
