U9B Football v Cundall Wed 18th Jan

Written by  Natalie Glen

The U9 B's took a while to get themselves sorted into playing football. Defensively we were frail in the first half. Every time we had possession our shots were saved by the keeper who started their counter attacks. As we pushed up the speed of their strikes beat our defense and we found ourselves five behind at half time.

We came out in the second half determined to do better and make the most of the opportunities we got. Adam made a splendid solo run to get us on the score sheet and with the confidence this gave us we started to pass the ball and before we knew it we were just one goal behind. Sadly as we pushed on for the equaliser we were caught out and Cundall scored two late goals.

It was a good team performance on a difficult pitch, conditions were very heavy.

Final Score Terrington 4 - 7 Cundall
