U9 Football vs Bramcote and Woodleigh

U9 Football vs. Bramcote/Woodleigh
This was a much better performance by the boys. They used the space on the pitch to good effect and passed the ball accurately and with confidence. There were occasions when we looked very strong indeed and were able to pass from one end of the pitch to the other without our opposition ever getting close to intercepting.
After 5 minutes we were 3 - 0 up following goals from Adam Reid, James Barker and Josh Gath. We then relaxed a little and probably allowed them into the game too much. However some great saves from Harry Lister and pressure from our defenders kept them out for the remainder of the half.
We continued strongly in the second half with Josh Gath adding two more goals. They managed to pull one back but the result was never in question. More work on early passing of the ball from some of the boys is needed in the future and this is an area we will work on in training.
Very well done to all of the boys for their 5-1 victory.
