U9 vs Mowden Hall

U9 Football vs. Mowden Hall
We started this game very strongly with a great goal from Josh Gath. We then took our feet off the pedal a little and allowed them into the game, however some excellent defending from George Welch and saves from Harry Lister kept them down to just one goal. We scored again before half time through a well placed, left footed strike by James Barker. The 2 -1 lead at half time flattered them somewhat.
After half time we began to exert some control, clever passing and use of the wide spaces meant we extended our lead to 5 - 1 with Josh Gath scoring two and James Barker one. We then relaxed again and allowed them 2 more goals before James Barker completed his hat trick to put the game out of sight.
An excellent performance and a worthy 6 - 3 victory.
