Terrington Hall School

Saturday 15th October v Belmont Grosvenor

Written by  Jessica Shelley

The sun was shining down on the breathtaking views that roll off the school pitches.

We were awarded first push back and the game got underway. The girls are rather inexperienced with playing on grass and so there was a lot of hacking at the ball and crowding leading to some penalties being awarded to both teams. The girls began to get into the swing of the game and managed to find some spaces and get the ball through to Poppy who narrowly missed the goal.

At half time there were some team changes and the girls were now playing down the hill with the score level at nil-nil.

The girls defending was fantastic lead by Emily and supported by Rachel and Lottie Combe there was no chance the ball was getting past them. The girls battled hard to get the ball into the D with the Storey girls working well in partnership and fed a spectacular ball into Poppy who finished off a superb goal.

I was pleased with the girls efforts of a reasonably inexperienced team. We have a great team we just need to build on our natural abilities.

Final score: 1-0

Well Done.
