Terrington Hall School

U9 Hockey v Belmont Grosvenor, Saturday 21st Jan

Written by  Jessica Shelley

After the heavy loss of the netball game the girls were not exactly thrilled to be putting on their shin pads and boots. By the end of the game I am sure they were pleased that they did.

The game started poorly for Terrington and Belmont scored a quick first goal through poor defending. This seemed to give the girls a shock and their play improved greatly, Emily and Ellie defended well and worked well as team. There was some great attacking playing from Rachel, Poppy and Lottie.

After half time the girls played their socks off and Lottie and Lizzie were feeding the ball down the pitch well to Poppy and Rachel in attack resulting in our first goal of the day. We battled on the cold but unfortunately could not score a second goal to win the game.

An excellent result from the girls well done.

Final score 1-1.
