U10 High Five Netball v Queen Mary's

Written by  Veronica Whitfield

With Amelia as captain we proceeded to lose the toss but that was not enough to deter the mighty under 10's.Georgina and Anna worked very well together and Anna managed to score her first 2 goals ever for Terrington to give us a good lead with Georgina adding one just before quarter time. However, at the other end Olivia, playing GK was matched against a Queen Mary's giant who overpowered her and scored a goal.

In the second quarter after rotating the players our defence was a little weak and when we did get the ball into our D Emma and Amy were unfortunate not to score. At half time the score was an even 3-3.

Georgina and Amelia went back in to shoot and with some good defending from Maddy and Amy we kept hold of the ball and got ahead by 2 goals. The final quarter was fiercly fought and with some super intercepting from Anna and Olivia we maintained our lead . Amelia and Anna played particularly well today and it was unfortunate that the court was a little slippy leading to some dodgy foot-work. We will be working on this in our next training session.

Well done to all of the girls on another good match.    Won 5-3
