With the hall being be-decked for tonight's Burn's Night we were outside with the rain clouds gathering on a rather slippy court. Clemmie lost the toss and the game commenced with the Minster dominating and using their good marking skills. We broke through the defence and Clemmie scored the first goal of the match ending the first quarter 1 nil to Terrington.
In the second quarter Nicole made some superb interceptions and we managed to get the ball into the 'D' but unfortunately were unable to score. The overhead passes were not working and we were losing possession. Minster took the advantage and scored 2 goals in quick sucession.
With the rain now falling visibility was difficult especially through my glasses, but after some encouragement the girls went into the second half with greater determination. Lily and Erin defended well and prevented more Minster goals, with Terrington scoring another 3 goals we were 4-2 up at the end of the third quarter.
Unfortunately we could not keep the Minster at bay and with cold hands and many loose balls the game became very scrappy and we lost control of the game giving Minster the opportunity to level the score.
The girls played well in the conditions but there is still a lot to learn if we are to improve our skills.
Final score: 4-4
