The U 10 girls are a very promising bunch. They have height, speed , determination and no shortage of skill. Minster arrived a girl short due to illness so four of our girls played for a quarter for the opposition, well done Ema for volunteering straight away. The match started and eventually we went one ahead after a few shots had initially gone astray but Minster bounced back with an excellent goal of their own from the centre pass. Terrington had most of the possession through the first two quarters and built a good lead with Georgina and Coco scoring the goals. In the second half we changed the positionsaround and continued to dominate in the midcourt though we didn't score so many goals. As the rain started and it got a little colder it became more difficult for both sides and it was no real surprise that the final quarter saw no goals scored at all.
It was very encouraging to watch the performance of these younger girls and the manor in which they played which was both spirited, in terms of wanting to win, but also friendly in terms of how they got on with the opponents and were all happy to join the Minster team when asked.
Final Score Terrington 7 - 2 Minster
