Today the U13 girls played a triangular with Bramcote and Malsis. In the first match we played against Malsis which we won fairly comfortably. There was some great netball in parts with Annabelle shooting particularly well. The movement in the centre court was good and the passing crisp. From two all early on we went from strength to strength. Angela and Tara continued the great shooting while in defense Emma and Alice took control of their D. Ella intercepted and passed with care. Eliza made herself available at all times but the real damage was done by the Winn Darley girls who outwitted their opponents and fed the ball like a thread through a needle to the shooters.
Malsis then played against Bramcote a game which Bramcote won.
In the second match we didn't start so well having been off for half an hour and at the end of the first quarter we were behind by one. The next quarter saw some of the best netball we have played this year. Serena completely dominated the mid-court and Annabelle was again impressive in attack popping in goals from everywhere. The form continued through the third quarter in which we scored two goals that went through all the hands from back to front. Abi came on in the final quarter and did a great job marking the Bramcote shooter.
Two good results but the quality of some of the play today was excellent. Serena played a captains role and Iona and Annabelle's performances were brilliant. Well down to everybody.
