The Sporting Week
The ‘Sporting Week’ gives the children at Terrington an opportunity to report on the matches that they have participated in during a typically busy week of sport. Every report is supported by a number of action shot photographs, taken by the children, members of staff and parents, and each week there is selected the hotly contested ‘Team of the Week’.
A number of pages are also dedicated to the variety of boarding activities that are organised by staff and external professional coaches. Activities include: Basketball Club on Mondays; Badminton Club on Tuesday evenings; Cricket nets on Thursdays; Football Club on Friday nights; a Sunday trip to Leeds Carnegie Rugby Club – the list goes on! Further information is also given regarding the Physical Education Curriculum and any other notices regarding the Sports’ department and future events to jot in the diary.
As well as being available on the website, every issue of the ‘Sporting Week’ is put up on the Parents’ notice board; along the Old Block Corridor; in the entrance to the Middle School and to the Sports Hall, every Friday afternoon. And an archive of each issue has been put in a folder in the front hall of the Main House.
