Given that a diverse range of boys and girls join Terrington Hall, it is natural that they should leave us at 13 for a wide range of senior schools, either to any one of the excellent local day schools or further afield to boarding schools around the country.
Finding the right school for our children and preparing them accordingly is an important part of Terrington Hall's mission. As one of very few truly independent prep schools in the North of England - with no tie to a senior school - it is something we do well. Knowing that the school forges and maintains strong relationships with senior schools across the country, parents can be confident that a Terrington education opens doors to any destination of choice for their child.
In the last four years our leavers' destinations included Ampleforth, Bootham, Durham, Glenalmond, Malvern, Moira House, Oundle, Pocklington, Queen Margaret’s, Repton, St Peter's York, Sedbergh, Shrewsbury, The Mount and Woodhouse Grove.
More than 25% of these leavers moved on with a scholarship or exhibition awarded in either academia, sport, music, drama or as an all-rounder demonstrating that our pupils excel across the curriculum.
