Nursery admissions process:
1. Get in touch!

Please contact our Head of Admissions Claire White by email, via our online enquiry form or by ringing 01653 648227.
Claire is here to help you decide whether Terrington Hall is the right school for you and your child. She’s happy to answer any questions, big or small, guide you throughout the admissions process and do all she can to help you come to a decision.
2. Come and visit
There’s no substitute to visiting a school to get a sense of whether it’s right for your child. We hold Open Days twice a year and welcome parents who make an appointment to visit at other times. Our Headmaster, Simon Kibler, will be delighted to chat about your son or daughter and explain more about what we can offer them. He’ll show you around so you can see our Nursery and Pre-Prep in action, meet the children and our dedicated staff, and take in our beautiful setting overlooking the Howardian Hills. Claire White will arrange a time to suit you. Alternatively, you can come along to one of our Open Days.
3. Taster day
Your child is very welcome to join the Nursery class for a taster day, to spend time with their prospective classmates and teacher. The Nursery teacher, Mrs Ashley Cooper, will give informal feedback on how your child gets on and will be happy to chat about any concerns you may have.
4. Register
If you would like to register your child, please complete a registration form, which you’ll receive in your parent pack when you visit, or we’ll email it to you. There’s a non-refundable £75 registration fee which allows your application to be processed. When spaces are limited, preference is given to parents who registered earliest.
5. Secure your child's place
If you decide you would like your child to join Terrington Hall, and we agree that this is the right school for them, a £300 deposit is required to secure their place. This deposit is refundable, minus any extras incurred, when your child leaves the school.
6. Settling-in days
Your child will be invited to one or two settling-in days at Nursery, to ease their transition process.
The Nursery teacher, Ashley Cooper, will give you feedback, share her contact details and you’ll be able to discuss any concerns with her.
7. Admission
Before your child arrives at Terrington Hall, we’ll send you a medical form to be completed, along with a photo consent form and a copy of the Parent Contract. You will be sent the link to our online uniform shop and we will send you a list of the uniform required.
You’ll also be added to our list of current parents and will receive welcome information, newsletters and be invited to any relevant information meetings.
When your child starts at Nursery, you will receive a Nursery Parent Handbook. You’ll also be logged in to our interactive Tapestry Learning Journal, which records special moments of your child’s school day and invites to parents to make their own observations.
