DIRECTOR OF PERFORMING ARTS
Applications are invited for the post of Director of Performing Arts.
We seek to appoint an exceptional person to this role, to work closely with the Headmaster to develop standards in an already vibrant department, which inspires and nurtures the enthusiasm and talent of our children. Terrington Hall is enjoying an increasingly high profile, in line with our aim of being the leading independent co-educational Preparatory School in the North of England.
We recently re-branded and launched this website, and pupil numbers have risen exponentially over the past two years. The successful applicant will celebrate our core values and be skilled in establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with pupils, parents, staff and other stakeholders.
As a highly prominent representative of the school, you will excel in this area and above all be kind, engaging and inspirational. You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be able to maintain a high level of efficiency and work in a calm, confident and professional manner.
Responsibilities include class teaching, directing performances and recitals, preparing pupils for music exams and senior school scholarships, co-ordinating our peripatetic music provision and maintaining strong links with senior schools across the country. We are looking to appoint a highly motivated individual to this role, with a start date ideally before September 2023.

SCHOOL MINIBUS DRIVER (PART-TIME)
Terrington Hall School is seeking to recruit a part time, term time only minibus driver.
The role is Monday – Saturday morning, based on 2 x 2 hour shifts per day starting at 7.00am and again at 17:40. There is no requirement for a Wednesday evening bus run.
Pay: 12.50 per hour, plus 5.6 weeks holiday pay and company sick pay and pension
Operating one of the School’s bus routes, collecting pupils from given pick-up points along the route and delivering them to School (mornings); collecting them from School and
dropping them back at the given points (early evening).
Weekly cleaning of the buses, both inside and out.
Regular visual inspection/checking of tyres, lights, oil, water, fuel and advise of any maintenance or repair requirements.
Adhere to all school policies including Health and Safety guidelines for minibus drivers.
The successful candidate should possess good interpersonal skills, be able to work constructively as part of a team, have the ability to relate well to children and to adults, be friendly and presentable. A full, clean driver’s licence is essential and experience in a bus or minibus driving role preferred but not essential.
Enhanced DBS will be required; the school will apply for this.
