The Storey Cup

This week saw our Terrington Hall cricketers and rounders’ players of all ages play fixtures vs Scarborough College in the annual ‘Storey Cup’ competition. Each age group [u9, u11 & u13] play for their respective trophy with an overall cup to the school that win the most matches. The Girls played their matches at home whilst the boys had the privilege of travelling to and playing at the famous Scarborough County Ground. It was the first year the rounders were included into the competition and it proved to be a very successful addition as the there was some fantastic striking and fielding on display by both school teams with some impressive results from the Terrington sides. The cricket was a similar story with a very high standard of play. Some personal highlights were the look on the u9’s faces when they turned up and realised they were to play at this great stadium and overlooking the whole ground and once again seeing it filled with smiling children all enjoying sport and of course bringing the cup back home with us.

A big thank you once again to Mr Storey for helping to organise and allowing the pupils the opportunity to play at Scarborough County Ground. The u9’s have all made thank you cards to show their appreciation.
