Assemblies & worship
At Terrington Hall School assemblies create, nurture and sustain the sense of community which is central to our ethos.
Cementing our values together
Our assemblies address current topics, explore different faiths and reflect on our core values of kindness, growth, confidence and courage. We also take every opportunity to appreciate the strength of our community and remind every child how they contribute to our success.
Once a week, Lower and Upper Prep meet together in All Saints Church Terrington, for an act of collective worship. Throughout the year special times in the Christian calendar are learnt about, and celebrated or remembered in a variety of ways.

Celebrating and rewarding achievement
Nursery to Year 4 take part in the Star of the Week Awards Assembly in the Pre-Prep Hall on Fridays. Parents of children whose contribution is being recognised are invited to attend.
Upper and Lower Prep come together twice a week for Assembly. On Mondays we review the week’s theme and think about how children can contribute to it. On Fridays we reward achievement in a formal manner.
We believe that the formality of this assembly helps to prepare children for future formal events, and provides an opportunity to contribute to the progress of their own House.

I would not be able to stand up and present in my job now if I had not delivered match reports in front of the whole school from the age of 7!
