It was a pleasure to welcome former Terrington Hall pupil Ellen Hodgson as our guest speaker at our 2018 speech day. Ellen, who moved on to Queen Margaret's from Terrington Hall in 2013, talked fondly about her time at Terrington and the benefits of embracing all that the school has to offer in the classroom and beyond. Whilst Ellen made the most of every aspect of school life - from trips to tournaments - it was the horse riding activity that truly captured her interest as a young child. Ellen's passion and commitment to the sport is reflected in her numerous Equestrian achievements - including representing Great Britain in the U18 development squad at the Millstreet international horse trials in Ireland.
Ellen spoke passionately about her decision to read Engineering at Hertford College Oxford, ignited by early school experiences and further supported by opportunities afforded to her at Queen Margaret's. Inspiring and motivational, Ellen encouraged pupils to make the most of every opportunity and to strive to achieve their dreams.
