All smiles at Terrington Hall’s Under 13s Rugby Tournament

Our annual Under 13s Rugby 7s Tournament attracted teams from 10 schools across the North of England, making for an entertaining and competitive afternoon’s rugby.

The aim of the festival is to give players plenty of opportunity to practise and develop their core skills in a challenging but enjoyable environment.

With matches being played simultaneously on three pitches, there was plenty to watch for the many parents who gathered on the touchline to support their teams.

The boys who took part played hard but displayed great sportsmanship, along with some fantastic camaraderie across the teams themselves. There is clearly lots of emerging rugby talent across the North of England.

Players were rewarded with hot dogs supplied by our wonderful catering team, along with endless supplies of hot drinks and flapjacks for the adults.

Nick Hyde, Head of Boys’ Sport said: “The festival really was a pleasure to host and I would like to thank all the teams and parents who travelled – some over quite a distance – to be here. Every team played their hearts out and the support was absolutely brilliant.

“Last but not least, hats off to the players who gave us all so much joy by playing rugby with smiles on their faces!”

The school is very inclusive, providing sports and drama for all pupils and genders, and gives them the opportunity to follow sports and arts to higher levels with specific teaching/coaching if they wish.
