Celebration of harvest and community

Children celebrated the joy of Harvest Festival through performance, song and prayer in two church services which were also attended by parents and grandparents.

The Pre-Prep children, from Pre-School to Year 2, filled the church with confident voices and bright smiles as they performed a selection of songs and hymns they had practised in class. Their enthusiasm and sense of occasion were uplifting.

Children in Years 3 to 8 brought the meaning of harvest to life through thoughtful drama and reflection, reminding us all of the importance of our school values of Kindness and Growth, along with Confidence and Courage.

In the true spirit of community, our families responded with incredible generosity to our appeal for the Ryedale Community Foodbank. Thanks to their kindness, our older pupils were able to deliver 19 overflowing bags of donations to the foodbank centre in Norton. During their visit, the children learned how the food is sorted and distributed, and heard about the local families who will benefit from their efforts.

This celebration was a wonderful reminder of the values we hold dear: kindness, community, and care for others. Thank you to our families for their contributions to this special occasion.
