Champagne and Canapes parent fundraiser
Parents toasted the end of a successful year at a Champagne and canapes evening hosted by parents’ group the Friends of Terrington Hall.
The end-of-term event, held on the front lawn, was also attended by parents whose children are joining the school in September, along with Old Terringtonians, and staff members including Headmaster Huw Thomas and his wife Becca.
Music was provided by the superb Alec and Friends as the conversation and laughter flowed and a delicious selection of canapes circulated. All had been prepared by the Friends and other parents.
A lively auction of prizes donated by parents and local businesses was kindly hosted by parent Charlie Breese. His lively patter and success in encouraging bids suggests he has missed his true vocation.
The irresistible lots donated by families at the school raised a very welcome £11,000 to help the Friends fund various projects and equipment around the school.
A recent purchase by the Friends, an impressive large marquee for use at outdoor events, enjoyed its first outing that evening and was much-admired.
The evening was a fine opportunity to make news friends and catch up with others, and was hailed as a huge success by all who attended. Many thanks to the Friends of Terrington Hall for their hard work in organising this wonderful event.
Thank you so much for all your support and encouragement in such a wonderful journey of life.
