Fun-filled Easter celebrations across the school

Easter celebrations at Terrington Hall involved every child in the school in the joy of worshipping together and sharing lots of fun-filled activities in the last week of term.

Pre-Prep children loved taking part in the annual egg-rolling competition, which involved launching eggs they’d boiled and decorated at home down the grassy bank.

Every class, from Pre-School to Year 2, loudly cheered on their eggs as they tumbled downwards. Luckily, every shell survived its bumpy descent.

Children also enjoyed thrilling egg-hunts in the forest, scouring tree branches, mud kitchens, bushes, wild garlic and the log shed for eggs of many colours and – the ultimate prize – a golden egg.

The annual invitation to make an Easter Bonnet prompted some stunning creations, which the children paraded with pride.

The Prep School Easter Service was an uplifting mix of hymns, readings, prayer and dramatisation as children in Years 3-8 relayed the Easter story.

The Lower Prep Drama Club gave an animated performance of ‘Who rolled the stone?’, and both the Chamber Choir and Encore Choir sang beautifully.

Pre-Prep and their families joined an Easter Assembly in the church, with some accomplished pupil performances throughout.

Year 2 entertained on their recorders, Pandora and Alexander played the piano, and Sophie sang solo. The Year groups also performed together, singing and reciting Easter hymns and songs.

Miss Ramli presented the end-of-term Values Trophies to children who have excelled in their Kindness, Confidence, Courage and Growth. A closing prayer sent everyone on their way to enjoy the Easter holidays!

The headmaster and staff are an amazing team and it was clear from the moment we arrived that they care enormously for the pupils and their families.
