Both the Lower Prep and Upper Prep services were attended by families and staff from across our school community, creating a tremendous festive atmosphere of peace and goodwill.

The School Orchestra and Chamber Choir performed beautifully at both events. The Lower Prep and Upper Prep choirs each delivered impressive performances at their carol services. All reflected the hard work, commitment and teamwork of children who have practised during Enrichment sessions and at other times during the school day.

There were some outstanding solo performances, along with readings delivered confidently and clearly by children from every year group.
The skill of speaking confidently in public, fostered in the classroom, through reading reports in assemblies, and through clubs like debating, help children perform without nerves by the time they reach the Upper Prep.

Both services had a joyful mix of traditional and modern carols, readings, poems and prayers which united everyone with the communal hope and exhilaration of Christmas.

Families then congregated at the main house for mince pies, mulled wine and a final catch-up before the end of term.
