Kindness and courage on family fun run

Children from across the school were joined by their families and pet dogs as they rounded off the half term with a bracing fun run.

From Nursery to Year 8, everyone ran varying course lengths in an event to celebrate friendship and fun.

The beautiful autumn weather meant the surrounding Howardian Hills looked even more stunning in the afternoon sun.

Some children and families took a leisurely stroll around the course, chatting and laughing as they went. Others took a more competitive approach!

We were particularly impressed by the way children encouraged each other along the course, with the more able runners going back to run alongside those who felt less confident in their abilities.

Those who had already finished waited to cheer on others crossing the finish line, in an uplifting display of our most important school value – Kindness.

Thank you to everyone who took part in a tremendous whole school event.

We are totally delighted with how all the teachers and other students have been so helpful and made an effort to make our daughter feel so welcome. We really can’t thank you enough!
