Shrove Tuesday may have fallen during the half term holiday but no one was going to miss the traditional races, which were duly organised for our return.

Every child – from Pre-Prep, Lower Prep and Upper Prep, as well as the staff – represented their House enthusiastically in relay races which were hilarious to watch.

The pitches were littered with broken pancakes as children and staff fought to find the best way to complete their 4-8 flips and sprint the short distance.

Whether it was flip then run or flip while running, the organised chaos ensued as laughter and pancake batter filled the air in the Howardian Hills.

It was great to have the whole school involved in such a fun-filled afternoon and there will be many more whole school inter-House events across the year.
