Hair-raising Halloween fun
Children celebrated Halloween with ghoulish delight, expressing their inner monsters in a dazzling array of colourful costumes.
Pre-Prep children enjoyed a day packed with a carousel of spirited activities, from spider phonics to magical maths.
Scarily good party games had the spooktastic characters throwing some chillingly good dance moves.
The children kept their costumes on for the school’s charity Fun Run, which must have raised a few eyebrows among the sheep in the surrounding fields. Parents, children and staff completed the cross country trails to raise money for our Charity of the Year: Nayamba School in Zambia.
Prep School children blew us away with their creative costumes ahead of their Halloween Disco. Much planning and coordination went into the preparation of their outfits, and soon the classrooms were bursting with witches, skeletons, and other spooky characters.
After a spine-tinglingly tasty pre-disco tea, the scary horde invaded the Sports Hall, which glimmering lights, face painting and crafty activities helped transform into a spooktacular venue fit for a monster mash.
Our resident School DJ, Mr Keens, kept the energy high with a playlist of eerie hits, as ghoulish dancers filled the floor with enthusiasm and Halloween cheer.
Wishing everyone a frightfully fun Halloween!
The performing arts is one of the school’s stand-out options and a big focus, from the first role plays in nursery, to the comedic leavers’ play in Year 8 performed outside, amphitheatre style.
