Years 3-5 threw all their energy and enthusiasm into a fantastic ensemble production with no less than 71 speaking parts. Their weeks of hard work – from patiently waiting their turn during rehearsals to learning to act, dance and sing as a chorus, clearly paid off in this effervescent production.

Lottie and Emilia D shared the part of orphan Annie, Iris and Emilia C shared the part of obnoxious head of the orphanage Miss Hannigan, and Rory, Oliver G and Albert all played Annie’s billionaire saviour, Mr Warbucks.

There were many stand-our performances from the whole cast, with everybody bringing their own special magic to their part.

Annie Jr is packed with memorable songs and the cast had fun belting them out, while remaining in character and working together in perfectly choreographed moves.

The performers were shining examples of our School values of Confidence and Courage. They were also Kind to each other through their fantastic mutual support throughout both the rehearsals and the performances themselves.

Director Mrs Dooboori Hazorika-Stephany said: “Our focus is on inclusion and the importance of every child having their moment in the spotlight. Annie Jr. was another opportunity to discover newfound talents and develop confidence and courage.”

She added: “As ever, the children rose to our expectations and pulled off a show-stopper of a performance which will remain proudly in their memories for many decades to come.”
