Confidence and fun at Nativity performance
Pre-Prep children performed a fun-filled and energetic Nativity to their families on the last day of term. Children from Nursery to Year 2 all contributed to the performance, which had all the traditional characters: from the sheep, donkey and shepherds to the angels, kings – and of course Mary and Joseph.
There was lots of singing and dancing and a script remembered and delivered with real confidence. It was a rousing event which sent off families full of Christmas cheer as the holidays began.
Head of Pre-Prep Rachel I’Anson said: “We were amazed by how well the children did! It’s the end of a busy term but they threw themselves into rehearsals with real enthusiasm. Some of our Nursery children are just three but they danced and sang perfectly as the Bethlehem lambs.
“The older children led the performance with both confidence and courage, two of our school values. Not only did they learn their words beautifully but they also understood how important it is to work as a team and support each other. First and foremost, they had a lot of fun!”
The event rounded off a busy last week of term at Terrington Hall, which accepts children from 3-13. Every section of the school enjoyed Christmas feasts and parties, younger children had trips to the Scarborough Spa panto and Father Christmas visited.
Families also joined children at festive carol services at All Saints Church, Terrington, where the pupil choirs and instrumentalists performed as soloists and together.
It’s the kindest, friendliest school with great extra curricular activities and a strong track record of Scholarships to secondary schools
