Old friends welcomed at Alumni Day
Former pupils, parents and teachers reaching back over 70 years joined the Alumni Day at Terrington Hall.
They came back to chat about old times, reminisce about teachers and old pals, and to wander through their old classrooms and dormitories.
Former Headmaster John Glen also attended with his wife Natalie, former Head of Girls’ Games and Art. The couple retired in 2014 after 17 years at Terrington Hall.
Mr Glen said the School had a huge place in their hearts and that he was grateful for the warm welcome they always received from the pupils and staff when they returned.
The school, like any, had annual arrivals and departures but he was delighted that the caring, warm and friendly ethos remained as strong as ever.
Current Headmaster Simon Kibler, who leaves Terrington Hall at the end of this year, said the warm welcome he had received from the school’s alumni had meant a great deal to him.
He said that building a vibrant and active alumni community had a vital role to play in the future development of the school and he looked forward to seeing more successful alumni events in the future.
