Pre-Prep Nativity cooked to perfection

Children from Nursery class to Year 2 were simply amazing in their Nativity performance, the Bethlehem Bake-Off, on the last day of term.

They performed with gusto the musical twist on the nativity story, which imagined the birth of baby Jesus coinciding with Bethlehem’s annual bake-off competition taking place at a nearby inn.

Shepherds, angels, and some clever-looking chaps who arrived on camels, all competed to bake the finest cake, which this year was presented to the new baby just born to a lowly couple in a stable.

With catchy songs, some lovely acting – and lots of wide smiles, the Pre-Prep children captivated their watching families and proud staff. The enthusiastic applause was well-deserved. What a fabulous end to the Pre-Prep term!

I wanted to say how much we enjoyed the Bethlehem Bake Off yesterday. It was an absolute delight to see so many children enjoying themselves; a huge credit to all the staff responsible for staging the event.
