Children from Pre-School to Year 2 entertained their families, older pupils and staff with the story of three sheep who follow the crowds to Bethlehem expecting to find a party. What they do discover is the nativity story infolding in front of them, adding extra excitement and cause for celebration.

The tale was guided by four narrators from Year 2, who spoke wonderfully clearly.  Other Year 2 children delivered confident and expressive performances as the main characters.

Year 1 shone brightly in supporting roles, belting out the catchy songs with infectious grins. Reception children charmed everyone as sheep who sang and acted with gusto.

Pre-School children also brough smiles to everyone’s faces as angels who threw themselves into their moments in the spotlight.

Everyone’s acting and singing was fantastic, filling the hall with warmth and festive spirit.

Baarmy Bethlehem was a joyful and heart-warming way to round off a very busy Michaelmas term. We are very proud of all the cast for their dedication and teamwork.

Special thanks to Miss Wilson for her patient and calm directing and to Mrs MacNicol for her excellent stage design and props.
