Prestigious York Minster Chorister’s place for Emilia
We’re thrilled that Year 5 pupil Emilia has been awarded a prestigious York Minster Chorister place at St Peter’s School, York.
Emilia’s love of singing and musical talents shone through at her auditions with York Minster’s Director of Music, and she was offered one of the few choristers’ places at the school.
Choristers are educated at St Peter’s and must pass entrance exams to be admitted, but also spend time practising and performing at services, concerts and events at the Minster.
Terrington Confidence and Courage
Huw Thomas, Headmaster at Terrington Hall, said: “Millie is very talented, with huge potential, so we’re delighted that this opportunity has been offered to her. I have no doubt she will grasp it with Terrington Courage and Confidence – and we look forward to seeing her perform at the Minster.”
Emilia will be one of just 32 girl and boy choristers who sing with 12 adult singers at eight services each week as part of the York Minster Choir. We wish her the very best as she begins an exciting new chapter in her education.
It’s the kindest, friendliest school with great extra curricular activities and and a strong track record of scholarships to senior schools.
