Sharing the flame of hope with Christingle service
We marked the beginning of Advent this week with a Christingle service including carols, readings and the symbolic lighting of Christingles children had made in class.
The new Rector of Terrington, Douglas Robertson, joined several parents to watch children from across the school share the light of each other’s candles, symbolising the light brought to the world by baby Jesus’s birth.
The service, in front of the school, was led by Mrs Stubbs and our Year 8 Prefects, who delivered readings and prayers. Thank you for your donations to our collection, taken in support the work of the Children’s Society, which helps and supports young people who are facing challenging times in their lives.
