St Peter’s offers for Year 8 pupils

Congratulations to four of our Year 8 pupils, who have been offered places at St Peter’s School, York, from September.

Rosa and Annabelle, who are two of our three Heads of School, have both also been awarded Music Scholarship Awards: Rosa for saxophone and piano and Annabelle for oboe and piano.

Will and Will are both talented sportsmen and work hard in the classroom. All four pupils are fine examples of the values we hold dear at Terrington Hall.

Places at St Peter’s are hotly contested and applicants must complete a series of entrance exams and interviews to succeed. Annabelle and Rosa also played pieces in their chosen instruments in front of a panel of assessors.

Headmaster Simon Kibler said: “We’re delighted that Annabelle, Rosa, Will and Will have received offers of places at St Peter’s. It’s a reflection of the hard work they all put in every day to achieve their chosen goals.”

Leaders and governors ensure pupils receive a broad and balanced curriculum, supported by a well-planned co-curricular programme. Consequently, pupils make good progress, and many secure places at senior schools with selective entry standards, and some regularly gain awards.
