Terrington hailed by the Muddy Stilettos Best Schools Guide
We’re thrilled to have been given a sparkling review by popular lifestyle website Muddy Stilettos’ Best Schools Guide.
The Muddy reviewer said it was “Hard to find fault with this thoroughly wholesome co-ed Prep school in a dreamy rural setting, with a family vibe and great results.”
She added: “Terrington Hall has a reputation locally for being friendly and family-oriented. Obviously, the parents love the academic results, but also appreciate the lack of pressure put on the children (an Oct 24 parent survey had 96% of parents saying their children were happy at school). Forest School and the muddy knees ethos is a big hit.”
Other points highlighted include:
- The vibe is grounded, but academically strong.
- Reputation locally for being friendly and family oriented.
- Lunchtime wellbeing clubs for both boys and girls.
- A smart mix of sport for all but stretch for those who want to achieve.
- Academic rigour which is well balanced with a holistic view of learning.
- The antithesis of a stiff-upper-lip headmaster.
- Good flexible after-school care.
- Performing arts “one of the school’s stand-out options.
The reviewer also said: “Terrington is non-selective, but you wouldn’t know it with the extraordinary results.” She recommended our school to “anyone looking for a school where kids are allowed to be kids”
Terrington Hall Headmaster Huw Thomas said: “I’m incredibly proud to be the Headmaster of such an amazing school. Our staff and parents know what a uniquely special community this is but it’s always a pleasure when visitors discover that, too.”
