Terrington Hall Cross Country Championships
More than 350 children from nine schools across the region joined us for our annual Cross Country Championships.
There was a fantastic atmosphere as 50 teams competed in Under 9, Under 11 and Under 13 races, running between 2.2km and 4km.
The weather was chilly and windy and the ground muddy but there were smiles galore as the runners did their very best around the hilly course.
Parents from the visiting schools, as well as Terrington Hall, cheered on every child as they passed, giving a much-needed boost if energy was flagging.
Our Headmaster, Simon Kibler, presided over a medal ceremony for the team winners. Special mention to Terrington Hall Year 4 pupil Albert, who came home first in the Under 9 boys’ race.
Terrington Hall’s Under 9 boys’ team came third overall and the Under 13 boys finished second overall. The Under 9 girls’ team finished second.
Competitors refuelled with welcome hot chocolate and flapjacks provided by our catering team led by Billy and Alex. There were also warming refreshments for the hardy adults who joined us to cheer everyone on.
The cross country run is the event I look forward to most.
