Terrington Hall Rugby 7s and Netball Festivals
Schools from across the region joined us for the Rugby 7s and Netball festivals which were played in friendly but competitive spirit on a glorious spring day.
Year 7 and Year 8 children from Barnard Castle, Cundall Manor, Giggleswick School, Merchiston Castle, Scarborough College, Sedbergh School, The Mount and Terrington Hall provided a very entertaining afternoon’s play.
It was the first time we had staged a Netball Festival alongside the Rugby 7s and our teams very much enjoyed the opportunity to play against several teams. Both the A team and B team worked tirelessly and improved with every match as their confidence grew.
The boys played some excellent rugby against some very tough opposition, which resulted in some close-fought and exciting games.
As a relatively small school, our boys punched significantly above their weight and showed admirable courage throughout.
The catering team were superb, as usual, providing much-needed and appreciated hot drinks and flapjacks to visiting families. The visiting teams and parents also appreciated their traditional match tea which followed.
Many thanks to everyone who attended. We look forward to further building upon the joint Rugby 7s and Netball Tournament success next year.
Hard to find fault with this thoroughly wholesome co-ed Prep school in a dreamy rural setting, with a family vibe and great results.
