We’re a Tatler top school!
We're thrilled to once again have been voted one of the UK's best schools in the Tatler Schools Guide 2027. Tatler’s reviewers spoke to parents and our children before selecting us as one of just nine prep schools in Scotland and the North to make the grade.
The guide highlights our ‘close-knit community whose parents look forward to friendly Champagne receptions, and whose children enjoy inter-year lunches alongside their teachers.’ This helps create ‘outgoing’ pupils who are eager to show off their school.
Headmaster Huw Thomas is noted as ‘the school’s best asset’ who is ‘sensible, enthusiastic, calm and astute.’ His habit of serving match teas to parents is smart, ‘given the high esteem in which the refreshments are held’. These teas are ‘as good for the parents as they are for the children,’ the review reports.
Tatler considers independent schools across the UK before selecting the very best for its annual guide, which is on sale now with the October edition of Tatler magazine.
