Play becomes learning in our fun and supportive Pre-School class. By exploring the power of kindness and empathy, your child can enjoy a warm and nurturing environment. One day they could be making music and baking a snack in the classroom, the next they could be enjoying forest school in our extensive grounds, learning to try new things without fear of failure.

We love to encourage lasting friendships and a sense of community. And with climbing equipment, waterplay, sandplay, role-play areas and a mud kitchen, every Pre-School child has the time and space to make friends and feel part of the Terrington Hall community.

Our staff work hard to help your child become confident and independent through talk, games and new experiences. They’ll explore ideas like integrity, honesty and taking calculated risks, and build their curiosity and courage by learning outside the classroom at every opportunity.

Regular updates via our shared Tapestry platform

We use Tapestry Learning Journals to record special moments of children’s time in Pre-School, keeping parents fully involved in partnership as their children grow and building up a treasured memoir that they can take with them.
Parents log on with a secure username and password to view snapshots of the day in observations and photographs. We also invite parents to add their own observations and updates.
