U8 & U9 rugby
On Tuesday the 17th October the Terrington u8s and u9s travelled to Richmond House in Leeds for some rugby fixtures. The u8s played a triangular tournament with Richmond house and Brackenfield school. They won 2 and drew 1. Mr S was delighted with the way they played and the progression they are making in such a short space of time. A real theme of the team was their support play, communicating and passing to each other. The whole team played with a smile on their faces all afternoon. Well played boys!
The u9s only played Richmond house as the Brackenfield u9s had not played any tackling to date. The game started with some very attractive attacking play. Impressive swerving runs by Ted Hall, Oliver Tate and Rhys Sellers set up a nice lead for us. We will work on our defence over the coming weeks. It took a while before we started to tackle properly, some perfectly executed leg tackles by Henry Dexter-Smith, Olivia Breese and Sam Scarff set the tone for the remainder of the game. It was very pleasing to see the improvements being made throughout the afternoon. Another winning draw for the team who are making magnificent strides forward. Two very happy coaches on the way home.
