I was most impressed with the girls today as they did not complain about the weather once despite the drizzle and cold temperature.  They faced their opponents with gritted teeth, determined to play their best from the first whistle.

Olivia succeeded in securing the first centre pass which proved useful throughout the game as most quarters then started with a Terrington centre.

We rotated positions every quarter so all of the girls had a chance to shoot and defend. They also played a different position every quarter. This was very beneficial to the girls’ understanding of netball because it allowed them to learn what the limitations of movement are for each position in the sport.

Hattie made some lovely interceptions playing a defensive position in two quarters. Flora and Mollie worked really well together using chest passes to move the ball down the court aided by Liv’s strong shoulder passes. Daisy scored some wonderful goals including one from near the edge of the circle!

Although we played fabulously, our opposition (Richmond House) was just as strong as us so the game ended on a wonderfully fair and representational score of 4-4.
